Aston Villa earned a first Premier League win of the season as they emerged with a 3-2 win from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, to pile more pressure on beleaguered Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi.
Villa had to weather a persistent Tottenham storm in the first half an hour, before clicking into gear. Johan Manzambi marked his full debut with a goal just prior to the break, before setting up Nicolas Jackson’s first Villa league goal after the break.
Emiliano Buendia netted a sublime third in the 79th minute, as he fired in an early goal-of-the-season contender. Spurs, who had failed to score before Saturday's game, rallied in the latter stages and scored via a Matty Cash own-goal and a Jan Paul van Hecke header.
