A message from co-founders Andrea Locorotondo and Michael Plant
The Holte Roar launched ahead of Aston Villa’s 2026/27 season with one belief: there could, and should, be greater coverage of this magnificent club.
Too often, national media outlets pay the Villans lip service, focusing the vast majority of their resources on six Premier League clubs. At the other end of the spectrum, too much online Villa coverage can feel driven by clicks rather than quality.
We want to place ourselves firmly in the middle, bringing Villa fans regular club updates through high-quality journalism. No spam, no focus on other clubs. This is all about the mighty Villa.
But we can’t do this on our own. Like Unai Emery’s claret-and-blue army, we need the backing of the Villa fanbase. So we encourage all supporters to join for less than the cost of a pint each month. At the very least, sign up for a free trial period and see what we’re all about.
