How makeshift Aston Villa line-up could look vs Coventry

Unai Emery has hinted he will rotate his squad for the midweek Carabao Cup tie against Coventry City.
Aston Villa head to the CBS Arena for a first meeting with the Sky Blues since 2001, with both West Midlands clubs struggling in the early weeks of the new campaign. In fact, the pair prop up the Premier League table after four games, meaning a cup exit on Wednesday will only heighten the scrutiny on either Emery or Frank Lampard.
However, the two coaches have implied they will look to freshen their teams, and hand minutes to fringe members of their squads.
“We need players, we need subs [rotating] players being ready, and of course we are adding [games] when they are playing with their national teams,” Emery told Villa’s official website, when asked about the physical demands of the season.
