The wait for Aston Villa’s return to Premier League action, which seemingly has stretched for weeks, is finally set to end this weekend.

Villa finished the first stretch of the campaign with a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur and host Brentford on Saturday at the start of a nine-match sequence before the November international break.

News has been light on the ground from a Villa perspective since the Spurs win, with national-team games and revelations from the Etihad dominating football discourse over the last two weeks.
