Ezri Konsa has completed his transfer from Aston Villa to Arsenal, becoming the latest player to depart Unai Emery’s side in a summer of change.

Konsa is the fourth Villa player to start last season’s Europa League final to be sold this window, along with Lucas Digne, Youri Tielemans and Morgan Rogers.

Rumours have surrounded Konsa’s future all summer, with Liverpool also linked with the England international. But William Saliba’s World Cup injury and its potentially long-term impact convinced Arsenal to act.

Reports have suggested Konsa was keen to complete the move to Arsenal and return to London, with his transfer fee said to be around £55m.
