Aston Villa have confirmed the double signings of Ibrahim Mbaye and Taylor Harwood-Bellis on transfer deadline day.

The pair bring Villa’s summer arrivals up to 11, and will help bolster a team that has started their Premier League campaign with successive defeats.

Mbaye and Harwood-Bellis were both in the stands on Monday night as Villa were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal, and watched alongside fellow summer recruits Leon Goretzka, Joao Gomes and Johan Manzambi.

Mbaye will add more depth to Unai Emery’s options on the right wing, a spot in the team John McGinn has typically occupied, with help from Alysson in the first two games.
