Aston Villa have discovered who they will face in this season's Champions League league phase, with high-profile clashes against Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain the main highlight.

The draw for the 2026/27 edition was held in Nyon on Thursday, with ex-Barcelona forwards Thierry Henry and David Villa leading proceedings. Former Villa captain Stylian Petrov was among the claret-and-blue contingent present in Switzerland.

Villa knew ahead of the draw that they would be paired with two top seeds, and have been handed a tough assignment with a trip to the Nou Camp, and a first meeting with Barcelona since the 1982 European Super Cup final.
