Aston Villa have been drawn away to Coventry in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Unai Emery's side are one of nine English clubs competing in Europe this season who will enter at the third-round stage, with Wednesday's somewhat controversial draw ensuring none can face each other in the last-32.

Villa will make the short journey across the Midlands, facing Coventry for the first time since May 2001.

Ironically, the meeting the meeting comes in a season when Coventry were already set to renew hostilities with Villa, following last season's promotion back to the Premier League.
